first earthquake last night. wasn’t too interesting actually. rated only 3.4 on the richter scale. mostly i thought it was my neighbors banging around or something…until i realized i have no upstairs neighbors and the entire building was shaking along with the trees and telephone poles outside. took me a minute to understand. oh right you’re in LA! they have earthquakes here!...
it actually rains here. been here for 22 days and this is the first time. kinda pathetic rain though, just a drizzle. must go out and see how the people in the land of sunshine react to water falling from the sky…
in other news
it was 80+ in LA and i am still not over the sunshine in january. i wouldn’t go back to the arctic circle for a million dollars…even though i have no job at the moment :)

the high here today is 61 degrees. yesterday i was in 10 degree weather. i want to put on a swimsuit and eat ice cream and dance around in the sun.

biggest novelty in LA so far: buying liquor at CVS
that’s how long i lived in MA, the land of liquor in liquor stores ONLY.
you can get vodka/beer/whiskey/tequila here anywhere. it’s incredible and so convenient!
